Reclaiming hysteria: a group of young women trying to figure out what it means to be a feminist today.
Why hysteria? We’ve all encountered it: the eye-rolling, the taken-aback stare, the edgy comments: “Oh, I’ve heard I shouldn’t talk about that stuff around you.“ Even in our painfully liberal, progressive city, being a feminist has somehow become taboo. Many of us have feared the feminist label, have pushed our discomforted feelings under the rug in the past.
Now we’re taking it back. We want to talk about it. Let’s get hysterical.
